📜 Concept Summary
In Mirror Maze, the player must guide a character through a maze where some sections reflect or rotate the player’s movements. The catch? What you see is not always what you get.
Sometimes, a portion of the map is flipped, mirrored, or rotated: so "left" may become "right", "up" might be "down", or your character's movements appear reversed. The child must mentally adjust to this distorted perspective and find the correct path through the maze.
🎮 Gameplay
- The player controls character (The Couch Potato) using the virtual d-pad, or a physical keyboard arrow keys.
- The maze has zones:
- Normal Zones: Movement behaves as expected.
- Mirror Zones: Left becomes right, and vice versa.
- Flip Zones: Up becomes down.
- Rotate Zones: The entire section is rotated (e.g., 90°).
- Visual cues (like glass reflections or arrow signs) indicate zone effects.
- Possible Consideration: There will be a "ghost reflection" mechanic that shows a faint mirrored version of the player (might be helpful, but disorienting).
🏆 Points & Progression
- Treasure chests usually containing one point per chest. Some may contain more, depending on the difficulty in getting to them.
